Report: Assad to pardon all revolt prisoners

The London-based al-Quds al-Arabi newspaper reported that Syrian President Bashar Assad will soon issue a general pardon for all the prisoners who were arrested since the revolt against his regime began in March 2011, in accordance with special UN envoy Kofi Anna's plan for ending the violence.
