Barak: Beit El has alternative space in case of eviction

Defense Minister Ehud Barak addressed the issue of the Ulpana neighborhood eviction in Sunday's cabinet meeting stating that the house ownership issue remains unclear and is being discussed in court. He stressed that should the buildings be found to be on private land they will be evicted. "Any democratic government concerned about its future in the 21st Century cannot truly act differently," he added.
Nevertheless, Barak noted that 22 dunam inside Beit El can serve as a location for alternative structures, if the circumstances allow it. (Boaz Fyler)
