Obama congratulates Israel on Independence Day

US President Barack Obama sent his best wishes on Thursday to the citizens of Israel in occasion of Israel's 64th Independence Day.

"The unique relationship between Israel and the United States is founded on an unbreakable commitment to Israel’s security, and anchored by common interests and deeply held values. These values continue to enlighten and guide our efforts as we work with Israel, as well as with others in the region," he said. (Yitzhak Benhorin, Washington)
