Barak: Ben Gurion said Zionism is messianic movement
Defense Minister Ehud Barak has alluded to statements made by former Shin Bet Chief Yuval Diskin, who accused him and PM Benjamin Netanyahu of considering themselves "messiahs" on the Iranian issue.
Referring to a quote by Israel's first prime minister, David Ben Gurion, who said that "Zionism is a messianic movement," Barak stated sarcastically: "We should strike the quote and clear the area." (Attila Somfalvi)
