Preparations begin for construction of wall on Lebanon border

Preparations for the construction of a concrete wall on the border with Lebanon began on Monday. The kilometer-long wall, which is to stretch between Metula and Kfar Kila, is expected to be completed within a month. It is to be five to seven meters tall.

The IDF Spokesperson's Office released a statement saying that the barrier between Metula and Kfar Kila is to be upgraded in order to better protect northern Israeli towns and sites of friction between the IDF and the Lebanese army. The work is to done in collaboration with UNIFIL. (Maor Buchnik)
