Erez Efrati ordered to pay victim NIS 1.6 million
The Tel Aviv District Court has ordered Erez Efrati to pay NIS 1.6 million ($430,000) in restitution to a woman he sexually assaulted. Some NIS 150,000 ($40,000) of this sum have already been handed over the victim.
On Tuesday, the victim agreed to a settlement in her damages claim. Efrati, a former security guard of the IDF chief of staff, has been convicted of attempted sodomy and assault as part of a plea bargain. He was sentenced to eight years in prison. (Naama Cohen Friedman)
