The government of the Bahamas is denying a petroleum company's claims that it issued permits for oil exploration in its territorial waters.
The Ministry of the Environment says in a statement Wednesday that the government has not moved on a request by the Bahamas Petroleum Company to explore an area near where Spain's Repsol SA is searching for oil in Cuban waters. (AP)
