Report: Czech anti-Semitism remains low
Unlike others part of the world, Czech Republic sees no rise in Jew hate, community report says
Island of tranquility for Jews? A new study by Prague's Jewish Community says that anti-Semitism in the Czech Republic has not risen over the last year and remains at a relatively low level.
The recently released annual report on anti-Semitism notes that unlike in the Czech Republic, anti-Semitism is on the rise in other parts of the world.

It notes a swastika painted on a Holocaust memorial and another one on a synagogue, a physical attack on a Jew, and several verbal attacks and threats in the Czech Republic in 2011.
In total, the report compiles five attacks against Jewish property, four threats, seven Websites attacking Jews and 19 ant-Semitic articles in the media.
A report released last month noted an increase in cases involving harassments and violence against Jews worldwide, singling out western Europe, Australia and Canada as three of the places most affected by the trend.
The data further indicated a rise in physical violence against Jews and Jewish institutions, noting an escalation in their brutality as well.
Czech police recorded 16 anti-Semitic offenses in 2011.
