The state prosecutor has asked the High Court of Justice to delay its discussion of a petition by Colonel Erez Weiner, scheduled for Monday. Weiner has asked that State Comptroller Micha Lindenstrauss hand over all of the material from the Harpaz scandal pertaining to him.
The prosecutor's office said in a statement that Lindenstrauss had contacted Attorney General Yehuda Weinstein several times, urging him to open a criminal investigation into the matter. According to the prosecutor, the attorney general was considering the issue and therefore the discussion of Weiner's petition should be put off. (Aviad Glickman)
