5 killed in avalanche-triggered flooding in Nepal

A flooded mountain river swept away dozens of people along with their houses, farms and cattle Saturday in western Nepal, officials said.
Police official Shailesh Thapa said five bodies have been pulled out from the Seti river in Kaski district. Police are searching for more victims. There are several people believed to be missing, including three Russian tourists who were trekking in the area, Thapa said. The names of the Russians were not yet known. (AP)
