Opposition decimated by unity deal
Kadima’s entry into the government has produced a rare situation where Israel’s opposition numbers fewer than 40 Knesset members.
The opposition requires 40 signatures in order to initiate special Knesset meetings, but with the departure of the largest opposition party, Kadima, such special sessions can no longer be held. (Attila Somfalvi)
