IDF sets out to jail 2,700 draft dodgers, deserters

The military police has launched a large-scale, 10-day operation to apprehended army deserters. Some 200 deserters and draft-dodgers have been arrested so far.

The number of defectors draft-dodgers has recently reached 2,700 – 900 more than in 2010. Hundreds of cells have been cleared at army jails ahead of the operation. (Yoav Zitun)
