Comptroller's Office retains private counsel in Weiner petition

The State Comptroller's Office has retained private counsel in the case of Col. Erez Weiner's petition to the High Court of Justice to receive all material pertaining to him in the Harpaz scandal, Ynet has learned.

While the state prosecutor usually represents the comptroller's office in such matters, some in that office believe that Weiner's request is justified, and to prevent a conflict of interest the comptroller's office is being represented by outside counsel. (Aviad Glickman)
