Peres to undergo hernia repair surgery
The President's Residence reported that President Shimon Peres was diagnosed with a hernia during his visit to Canada. He received immediate treatment and continued with his agenda for the trip.
According to the statement, Peres was expected to undergo a surgery to repair the hernia upon his return to Israel on Friday afternoon. He is set to be discharged from the Sheba Medical Center in Tel Hashomer on Sunday. (Yair Altman)
