High Court rejects Katsav appeal, sentence is final

High Court Justice Ester Hayut rejected Sunday the appeal of ex-president Moshe Katsav for a further hearing of his case. Katsav was convicted in 2011 for rape and sexual molest of several women who worked for him.
The judge ruled that the case did not contain exceptions that can justify a further hearing. This appeal was the last legal chance to overrule the seven-year jail term, except for a presidential pardon. (Aviad Glickman)
