Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said in a message sent to Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas that a peace agreement between the two sides would ensure the existence of a Palestinian state alongside the Jewish state, but not within 1967 borders, the Al-Quds Al-Arabi newspaper reported, citing top Palestinian sources.
In the message, which was sent as a reply to a letter from Abbas, Netanyahu called on the Palestinian leader to resume negotiations without preconditions. The Palestine Liberation Organization dismissed the missive on Sunday, saying that it didn't offer clear solutions to the primary issues bar the renewal of the talks. (Elior Levy)
