Knesset debates youth violence, says 'situation grim'

Chairman of the Knesset Education Committee MK Alex Miller (Yisrael Beiteinu) said Tuesday in a committee discussion on youth violence that "the general picture looks very bad, and it seems that we need to take decisive action to find creative solutions to prevent (these) horrible incidents.

"The country's youth is in daily danger in parks or other areas with no control," Miller said, adding that he thought the most important thing to do was to occupy teens in an informal educational framework. (Moran Azulay)
