Internal Security Minister defends Tayibe police shooting

Internal Security Minister Yitzhak Aharonovitch said that an investigation into Wednesday's police shooting in Tayibe found that the officers acted in a professional manner. A 20-year-old man was killed in the fire exchange between the cops and members of a crime family.
"It's unacceptable for a police force in Israel to have to face gunmen during an operation," he said. "The police are making resolute efforts to fight crime families, and will continue to do so." (Raanan Ben-Zur)
