Israeli firm to fortify Jewish schools in Australia

Al-Sorag to install protection mechanisms in Jewish educational institutions; project to cost $500,000

Israeli protection solution company Al-Sorag was chosen to fortify Jewish educational institutions across Australia. Protection process will include installation of 4500 square meters of different protection solutions in kindergartens and Jewish schools, at a cost of half a million dollars.

The extensive fortification project is expected to be completed in the coming months and will respond to a wide range of threats.

The comprehensive protection will include installation of protective coatings on panes, anchoring systems and cable protection systems for doors, as well as installation of transparent bars. All these are designed to provide protection against acts of terrorism and violence.

Al-Sorag has fortified 25 sites across Australia over the past three years at a total cost of $4 million, including Jewish community institutions and the Parliament Complex in the Australian capital - Canberra.

At the Parliament building Al-Sorag installed protective coatings on panes that combine capabilities against thrust with capabilities of filtering solar radiation, which will save money in merger expenses.

Al-Sorag CEO Erez Paz said many Jewish institutions face the threat of terrorist and anti-Semitic attacks.

"The solution of the protection systems installed by Al-Sorag can prevent damage to property and loss of life. We continue to invest resources in developing technologies and protective measures to improve the survivability of strategic buildings and sites, against extreme scenarios," he said.
