Fire breaks out in mine field in northern Israel

A fire broke out Saturday in a mine field next to Kibbutz Snir in northern Israel. Several mines detonated, making it difficult for firefighters to operate.
Teams from the JNF and the Israel Nature and Parks Authority were trying to help the firefighters, and two firefighting helicopters were scrambled to the scene. Highway 99 was closed due to smoke. (Maor Buchnik)
