Two women raped in northern Israel

A 20-year-old man arrested on suspicion of the rape two young women in northern Israel has had his remand extended for five days by the Nazareth Magistrate's Court.

According to reports, the women were out with male companions. At approximately 2 am the couples left for a wooded area, where the suspect and another man attacked them, scared off the men, and allegedly proceeded to beat and rape the two women. The women's companions were questioned by police and then released. (Ahiya Raved)
