Justice Minister Yaakov Neeman spoke against the extension of legal internships for a period longer than a year, warning that the measure would cut internship openings in half and "could do more harm than good."
Neeman, who spoke during an Israel Bar Association conference in Eilat, called for the cancelation of oral exams for lawyers and the expansion of licensing exams. He also said that the test should be postponed until candidates complete their legal internship. (Aviad Glickman)
