Israeli swimmers qualify for European Championship

Israeli swimmer Yaakov Tomarkin qualified for the European Swimming Championship which will take place in Debrecen, Hungary in June, after scoring 54.26 seconds in the 100m backstroke and ranking third in the semifinal.
Imri Ganiel, who will also take part in the swimming competition, broke the Israeli record for the 100m breaststroke final on Saturday. Amit Ivri was ranked eighth in the 50m backstroke final, and will also be joining Tomarkin and Ganiel in the championship. (Oren Aharoni)
