Iran recalls envoy to Azerbaijan – over Eurovision competition

The Iranian Foreign Ministry has recalled its envoy to Azerbaijan to "confer" following the nation's argument with Azerbaijan over the Eurovision pop song contest, being held Tuesday evening.

The tension between the two countries has recently increased after an Iranian cleric called the event a "gay pride march," which prompted a senior Azeri official to accuse Iran of being "jealous." (Dudi Cohen)
