New law prohibits therapists from having sex with patients

The Knesset plenum has passed a law prohibiting mental health professionals from having sexual intercourse with patients.

The legislation applies to all therapists, including alternative healers, and aims to prevent individuals from taking advantage of their patients. The law passed its second and third Knesset readings. (Moran Azulay)
