Yishai: Draft haredim who don't devote life to study

Shas Party head Eli Yishai has called upon Defense Minister Ehud Barak to draft every Ultra-Orthodox citizen who does not devote his life to Torah study.

Yishai was speaking to Ultra-Orthodox students at the Lev Institute. However, Yishai said that the IDF did not provide adequate religious service for hundreds of Ultra-Orthodox soldiers already serving and "was not prepared for and does not want another 50,000 haredim." (Kobi Nahshoni)
