A committee charged with reviewing the organizational structure of the Prime Minister's Office recommended cutting the number of appointed aides whose positions aren't open for bid.
The committee also said that the PMO's director-general should get a deputy, that new professional departments dealing with financial and social issues should be established and that the National Security Council should be made more powerful. The review was commissioned by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. (Attila Somfalvi)
