Panneta: US won't allow Iran to develop nuclear weapons

US Defense Secretary Leon Panetta said that the US is not going to allow Iran to develop a nuclear weapon.

"We will do everything we can to prevent them from developing a weapon,” he said. During an interview for “This Week” on ABC network, Panetta expressed hope that the nuclear standoff with Iran could be solved peacefully, but left no doubt as to the position of the United States not to allow Iran to posses nuclear weapons.
