MK Amnon Cohen: State to blame for migrant problem

MK Amnon Cohen, the head of the Knesset's Internal Affairs and Environment Committee, said that the influx of migrants to Israel "is a painful national problem. The State is to blame."

Cohen, who spoke at a committee meeting, defended the organizations that aid the illegal refugees: "Anyone who helps with this issue is doing a holy service." Some 170 illegal aliens who crossed the border into Israel over the past 24 hours are to be deported on Tuesday night. Most are Eritrean and Sudanese. (Omri Efraim)
