Terror group planned to kidnap Israeli as bargaining chip

Cleared for publication: The Shin Bet foiled an attempt by a terrorist group called the "Holy Warriors Brigades" to kidnap an Israeli citizen as a bargaining chip to secure the release of Palestinian prisoners, the organization announced Tuesday.

The group's members are from Hebron and the Gaza Strip. Some are serving life sentences, which the planned kidnapping was intended to mitigate. (Yoav Zitun)
