3 arrested over suspected drug smuggling

Israel Police forces have arrested three suspects on drug smuggling charges over suspicions they smuggled cocaine from South America to Israel.

The joint investigation, which was led by the International Crime Investigations Unit and Israel Police, lasted two years. A breakthrough in the investigation came after a large package filled with drugs headed for Israel, was uncovered in a European country. Two additional suspects involved in the drug operation, are currently remanded in Bulgaria. (Ahiya Raved)
