Six haredim arrested for disrupting road work

Six Ultra-Orthodox demonstrators were arrested Wednesday for allegedly disrupting expansion work on a stretch of highway near Kardim Junction in northern Israel.
Police report that the protestors were attempting to stop the road work to prevent ancient graves from being desecrated. Inspectors from the Israel Antiquities Authority are overseeing work at the site. (Maor Buchnik)
