The cabinet voted Sunday to change the definition of "reserve soldiers" to include everyone who serves at least 20 days over the course of three years. Current policy stipulates that a reserve soldier must serve at least 10 days annually.
In a special session on Israel's Reserve Forces, the cabinet also decided to extend reserve soldiers' post-service benefits over three years instead of just one year. (Attila Somfalvi)
