Finance Minister Yuval Steinitz announced Sunday that he will promote a single-year budget for 2013, parting with the biennial budget doctrine he has led so far.
The change coincides with an amendment to the Budget Law, which stipulates that a biennial budget should be applied unless Israel is heading for an election year – as the case will be in 2013. (Avital Lahav)
