Litzman: Cutting kids' stipends will make many poor

Deputy Health Minister Yaakov Litzman (UTJ) told Ynet Monday in response to Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman's call to cut childrens' stipends that doing so would "bring many children in Israel under the poverty line."
"Our children are our future, and G-d help us if we take the bread from their mouths. The poverty situation in Israel doesn't allow for that. We must show mercy on the children," Litzman said. (Carmit Reuven)
