China's president: Iran should be flexible on nuke program

Chinese President Hu Jintao met with Iranian counterpart Mahmoud Ahmadinejad in Beijing on Friday and told him that it is China's persistent policy to solve Iranian nuclear issues through dialogues and cooperation, Chinese news agency Xinhua reported Friday.
According to the report, Hu said new progress has been made during the talks in Baghdad, adding that China hopes the Iranian side can weigh up the situation, take a flexible and pragmatic approach and enhance dialogues and cooperation with the International Atomic Energy Agency so as to ensure the tensions can be eased through negotiations.
