PA envoy: Settlement construction undermines efforts to resume talks

The Palestinian envoy to the United Nations said that Israel’s new plans for settlement construction in the West Bank is hindering the chances of renewed peace talks.
“Israel’s illegal actions continue to undermine any and all efforts to resume the peace process, including via direct negotiations,” Palestinian observer Riyad Mansour told the UN Security Council. (AFP)
