Ahmadinejad says to retire after 2013

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said in an interview with the German media on Saturday that he would retire from politics after his second term in 2013 and was planning "to return to science ".
"Eight years is enough," he said in the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung published Sunday and excerpts of which were released Saturday. "I plan to return to science," he added while the Iranian constitution does not allow him to run for a third term next year. (AFP)
