Turkey calls for new UN initiative on Syria

Turkey's Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu urged the UN Security Council to take "new measures" to prevent the situation in Syria from deteriorating.
The UN has suspended its observer mission to Syria on Saturday due to the escalating violence in the country. (AFP)
