Police, Tax Authority expose receipt forgery scheme

The police and the Tax Authority have arrested nine people working in the fuel industry on suspicion of forging receipts for NIS 3.5 billion worth of fictitious purchases for the purpose of tax evasion.
The authorities estimated that NIS 600 million in VAT alone went unpaid due to the scheme. (Eli Senyor)
