Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman branded the uproar over the deportation of South Sudanese migrants as "damaging," slamming critics for failing to consider Israel's national interests.
"Many sacrifice the national interest in favor of the fleeting interest of one party or another," he said, adding: "I cannot recall an outcry on the part of Israel's allies, including the United States, like the one that occurred in this case." (Moran Azulay)
