Career officer indicted for copying classified information
The Military Prosecution filed an indictment against a non-commissioned career officer who served in an elite unit in the IDF's Teleprocessing Corps accusing him of copying thousands of top level secret files from his computer at the base to his private PC.
"The disclosure of the information could have harmed state security as the information is of great significance to the enemy and can assist them in cyber attacks," the indictment said. The defendant's attorney said that his client had meant to make his work more efficient. (Yoav Zitun)
