Druze clerics who traveled to Syria fail to show up for trial

Fourteen Druze clerics accused of traveling to Syria without a permit failed to show up for their trial at the Nazereth District Court on Wednesday. Instead they opted to visit a sacred tomb site.
Meanwhile, local authorities in Druze villages launched a strike in solidarity with the clerics. Dozens protested outside the court and demanded that the trial be canceled. (Ahiya Raved and Hassan Shaalan)
