Voter turnout in Egypt run-off election: 51%

Voter participation in Egypt's run-off presidential election topped 51% of eligible voters, the head of the Supreme Presidential Electoral Commission announced Sunday ahead of naming Muslim Brotherhood candidate Mohammad Morsi the official winner.

Voter turnout in the first round stood at 46%. (AFP)
