Writers boycott cultural festival over police violence

A group of writers plan to boycott Tel Aviv's White Night cultural festival, scheduled for Thursday, in protest over recent police violence.

Author Etgar Keret published a message on his Facebook page explaining that they had taken the decision in light of "police violence against social justice protesters and the many violent incidents this past week." Writers Alex Epstein, Orly Castel-Bloom, Dov Alfon and Yaheli Sobol were also signed on the message. (Ynet)
