Knesset: 48,000 'Torah prodigies' weren't recruited to IDF

The Knesset Research and Information Center said that in 2012 more than 48,000 haredi men who are fit to serve in the IDF were not recruited due to the "Torato Emunato" ("Torah is his profession") arrangement.
The center further said that only 82 ultra-Orthodox volunteered for national service. (Moran Azulay)
