Nazareth men suspected of extorting contractors, developers

The Northern District Prosecutor on Thursday submitted an indictment in the Nazareth District Court against two brothers – Iyad and Mahar Hussein Mustafa a-Safyan – as well as Raviya Hassan Sharif, who is accused of acting on Iyad's orders.
The men are accused of threatening contractors, developers and hoteliers in Nazareth, forcing the business owners to hire them as security guards and stealing thousands of shekels in protection money. (Ahiya Raved)
