Chairman of the Yesh Atid Party, Yair Lapid said Thursday that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu had pressured the Plesner Committee, appointed to make recommendations for universal national or military service for all sectors."As always, Netanyahu prefers petty tricks and sectarian politics over a real solution that would lead to equal service for all," Lapid said.
Lapid said that the committee's conclusions were "smoke and mirrors, proving that the prime minister never meant to solve this urgent national problem, but only placate his coalition partners and throw sand in the eyes of the public and the courts." (Attila Somfalvi)
