3 soldiers indicted in drug smuggling scheme

None

Three soldiers who served on Israel's border with Egypt are being indicted by the military for trafficking dozens of kilograms of drugs that were smuggled in from Egypt.

The charges were pressed after an investigation found that several IDF troops were involved in the drug smuggling scheme. Some of the soldiers handed over sensitive operational information to Bedouin drug lords in Sinai. Attorney Idan Pesach, who represents one of the defendants, stressed that the indictment is primarily based on the testimony of a single military police agent. (Yoav Zitun)
