Kadima: Mofaz must press for personal sanctions on draft dodgers

Pressure is mounting on Kadima Party Chairman Shaul Mofaz to inform Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu that if the new alternative to the Tal Law does not include personal sanctions against haredi draft dodgers, Kadima will leave the coalition government.

A number of Kadima MKs who met Sunday with Mofaz even announced that they were considering leaving the Knesset if the party did not stick to its principles. Some sources in Kadima say that a petition will soon be circulated demanding that the party leave the government. (Attila Somfalvi)
